Gallup Poll

According to a recent Gallup poll, cheating on your spouse is the most morally reprehensible thing a person can do. Americans view cheating as being worse than cloning humans, polygamy, suicide, abortion, cloning animals, taking birth control, homosexuality and divorce.

Do not Lie, Cheat and Steal, nor tolerate those who do

Seems simple

These are the expectations from the West Point Military Academy for its cadets.

Of course Ray Lambert did not go to the Academy, it is my understanding from Marie that he had a troubled youth,  and was involved in some violence (something about a stabbing) while in high school.  They take the best and the brightest.  He does not qualify.

Nontheless, these seem like pretty basic rules for leaders miliatry or civilian.

Three rules of thumb

1. Does this action attempt to deceive anyone or allow anyone to be deceived?
2. Does this action gain or allow the gain of privilege or advantage to which I or someone else would not otherwise be entitled?
3. Would I be dissatisfied by the outcome if I were on the receiving end of this action?

Lie about intent

Cheat on spouse(s).  Perhaps they broke up two marriages instead of just one.  (Lying and cheating)

House shopping with the boss. (Lying and cheating)

Promotions from the boss (stealing)

Hide expense account money (who approved those expenses? Ray?) (stealing)

Buy presents for Ray Lambert's house (stealing from marital assets)

This private blog is an expression of intolerance for those who do lie, cheat and steal.

Military Honor (or lack thereof Raymond Lambert)

I thought this was interesting:

Adultery Article 134 UCMJ
Elements.
(1) That the accused wrongfully had sexual intercourse with a certain person;
(2) That, at the time, the accused or the other person was married to someone else; and
(3) That, under the circumstances, the conduct of the accused was to the prejudice of good order and discipline in the armed forces or was of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces.

Retired members of the uniformed services who are entitled to retirement pay are also subject to the UCMJ, as are retired reservists who are receiving hospital care in the VA system

How to file a complaint

People tend to think that those in the military, including many from Connections Academy according to Marie, are not as smart as those in the civilian world. In this case, I think they are right.

Peter principle at work. He made it to Jr. Colonel.

I suspect that many in the organization would not be sorry to see him gone.  But what the hell do I know.
